Bart Whitaker’s parents gave him everything he wanted: they bought him luxury cars in high school and a beautiful lakeside townhouse in Willis, Texas. And when he told them he had written his final exam in college, they bought a $4000 Rolex watch for him.
All the sacrifices were not enough for Bart; he wanted to inherit the family fortune.
On December 10, 2003, Bart sent two people he had paid to kîll his parents and only brother to the family house. Bart’s mother and brother were kîlled by bullets that went through their hearts. His father, Kent, survived with severe injuries.

He was later convicted of the crime and sentenced to deâth, but in 2018, just 30 minutes before his execution in Texas, the sentence was changed to life in prison following his father’s relentless plea.
Bart ungratefully responded to the commutation of his sentence by saying, “I am thankful for this decision, not for me but for my dad.”
